Hello, I’m Alison

 I’m a Family Law Lawyer based in Toowoomba.

After practising on the Gold Coast for more than 25 years, I moved to Toowoomba in 2025 and am excited to be part of the Best Wilson Buckley team.

I completed my Bachelor of Laws at Bond University in 1998, followed by two years of articles of clerkship. I was admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland and New South Wales in 2000. I am also admitted to practise in the High Court of Australia and, in addition to my undergraduate degree, I hold a Master of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology.

Why Family Law?

With extensive experience across a broad range of legal areas including Family Law, Litigation, Wills, Estates, and Property Law, I found my primary passion to be in Family Law. I work closely with clients to build strong and supportive relationships, focusing on negotiated, tailored, and cost-effective resolutions wherever possible. Where litigation is necessary, I am confident and experienced to guide my clients through the complexities of the court system.

Drawing on my diverse legal background, I take a holistic approach to matters, identifying potential risks and ensuring my clients’ interests are protected. I also understand the emotional and psychological impact of family law matters and am committed to providing empathetic and practical support every step of the way.
